Senior Medical Science Liaison, South

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and uphold impactful territory plans, which encompass HCP and Investigator engagement strategies.

• Assist in clinical development and research projects, including site assessment and identification, recruitment efforts, investigator meetings, external expert identification, and investigator-sponsored trials.

• Establish, gain access to, and cultivate customer-focused relationships with external Immuno-Oncology experts within the designated region.

• Educate healthcare practitioners and researchers on the disease state, therapeutic landscape, and Summit Therapeutics products throughout the product lifecycle.

• Engage in and monitor pertinent scientific meetings, providing insights to Summit.

• Stay informed on market issues, trends, product knowledge, and emerging therapeutic areas through self-education.

• Foster awareness and build relationships for Summit Therapeutics within the medical community.

• Participate in relevant team meetings, organizational activities, and country-driven medical affairs tasks, including advisory boards, Masterclasses, and roundtables.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create and execute account plans that align with shared scientific or business goals.

• Execute other duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A doctoral degree in health sciences from an accredited institution is required (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent), although substantial clinical and/or industry experience in oncology and cancer therapeutic areas may be accepted in lieu of educational qualifications.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience with solid tumor cancers, preferably in gastrointestinal, bladder, or renal cell tumors.

• At least 5+ years of clinical, scientific/research, or industry-related experience or equivalent is preferred.

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison is required.

• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry within the relevant scientific field is preferred.

• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and convey complex scientific concepts and data.

• Proven experience in building credible relationships with leading healthcare professionals.

• Capability to independently identify and convert corporate needs into actionable plans.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent critical thinking abilities.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing prerequisites, which may include background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.

• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time is required.

• Proficient in the standard MS Office suite; experience with electronic document management systems and document review tools is advantageous.

• Strong computer and database proficiency.
