📋 Description

• Act as the field-based scientific and clinical authority on both current and forthcoming Johnson & Johnson Innovative products.

• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the designated territory, aligned with Medical Affairs objectives.

• Facilitate two-way scientific discussions with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.

• Build professional relationships with community and academic healthcare providers (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs).

• Utilize MSL tools and insights to enhance customer engagement while identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.

• Employ AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Recognize provider educational needs and deliver customized, scientifically balanced information.

• Articulate complex clinical evidence through clear and effective scientific dialogues tailored to stakeholders.

• Gather and disseminate actionable insights that inform medical strategy, asset planning, and cross-functional discussions.

• Support investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

• Provide objective and compliant information in response to unsolicited research and clinical inquiries.

• Implement Medical Affairs strategies and MSL priorities while adjusting to evolving data, compliance issues, and organizational goals.

• Collaborate compliantly with MSL field partners, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, clinical operations, Sales, and Marketing.

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions.

• Promote inclusion and belonging both internally and externally.

• Stay updated on regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, and Medical Affairs policies.

• Establish a performance and development plan with the direct manager and engage in leadership projects.

• Fulfill administrative tasks, including expense reporting and activity documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers, etc.).

• Postgraduate experience is required for Doctoral level candidates, with a preference for therapeutic clinical experience.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including a proven track record as an MSL.

• Strong scientific and therapeutic expertise with skills in research, data analysis, clinical proficiency, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Ability to manage a defined territory with up to 70% travel, which includes in-territory visits and participation in internal meetings, external congresses, and related events.

• A valid US Driver’s License is preferred.

• Residency or fellowship experience is preferred.

• Knowledge or experience in the relevant therapeutic area.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, as well as familiarity with computers and remote technologies.

• Relevant clinical, research, or pharmaceutical work experience.

• Commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI.

• Residing in a major metropolitan area; Baltimore, Rockville, or Washington DC is preferred.
