This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Assist in achieving the commercial and educational goals of the organization.
• Serve as a support resource for the sales and commercial teams while being a regional expert on Tempus oncology assays.
• Foster the exchange of clinical, scientific, and technical insights with regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and oncology practitioners.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals regarding Tempus assays and technologies.
• Organize both in-person and virtual educational sessions for KOLs, community physicians, medical directors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate scientific data proactively and in response to inquiries.
• Deliver scientific training for internal stakeholders in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.
• Participate in conferences and significant meetings.
• Compile detailed meeting reports and summaries of impactful abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
• Keep internal stakeholders informed about pertinent medical and scientific advancements.
• Actively share insights regarding market trends.
• Strong clinical and scientific foundation in oncology, genomic testing, and cancer biology.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Basic knowledge of molecular oncology, cancer biology, and associated patient management protocols.
• Established relationships with KOLs in oncology.
• Proficient understanding of genomic laboratory-developed testing (LDT).
• Knowledge of CLIA-88, CAP, and the Sunshine Act (2013).
• Public speaking capabilities and the ability to convey scientific topics and concepts effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong management skills applicable to both interdepartmental and intradepartmental contexts.
• Capacity to educate and provide training.
• Self-motivated individual with a sense of ownership.
• Ability to operate and meet deadlines under tight timelines.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Advanced scientific or medical qualifications (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSN).
• Basic comprehension of oncology.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in diagnostics, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sectors (preferred).
