📋 Description

• Act as the field-based scientific and clinical authority on both current and forthcoming products from Johnson & Johnson Innovative.

• Create and execute a territory-specific scientific engagement plan that aligns with the Medical Affairs strategy and medical objectives.

• Facilitate high-quality, interactive scientific discussions with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.

• Establish and sustain professional relationships with community and academic healthcare providers and KOLs.

• Utilize MSL tools, insights, and AI resources to enhance customer engagement and optimize decision-making and operational efficiency.

• Recognize educational needs of providers and deliver customized, scientifically sound information.

• Communicate complex clinical evidence through clear and effective scientific dialogue tailored to stakeholders.

• Gather, synthesize, and disseminate actionable insights that inform medical strategy, asset planning, and cross-functional initiatives.

• Support investigators and internal teams for both company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research studies.

• Provide objective, compliant responses to unsolicited research and clinical inquiries.

• Implement Medical Affairs strategy and MSL priorities while adjusting to new data and organizational changes.

• Collaborate in a compliant manner with MSL field colleagues, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, clinical operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.

• Maintain scientific expertise through self-directed study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions.

• Promote inclusion, belonging, engagement, productivity, and innovation within the team.

• Stay informed of regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, and Medical Affairs SOP requirements.

• Develop performance and growth plans and undertake leadership projects with direct supervision from the manager.

• Fulfill administrative tasks, including expense reporting and activity documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is required (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers, etc.).

• Postgraduate experience is mandatory for candidates with a doctoral-level qualification.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, showcasing proven success as an MSL.

• Expertise in scientific/therapeutic areas, including research, data analysis, clinical proficiency, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

• Must be able to support a defined territory with up to 70% travel.

• A valid US Driver’s License is preferred.

• Residency or fellowship experience is preferred.

• Knowledge or experience in the relevant therapeutic area is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, and familiarity with computers and remote technologies is required.

• Previous clinical, research, or pharmaceutical work experience is preferred.

• A commitment to learning and utilizing emerging technologies such as AI is essential.
