This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the Michigan region that aligns with the Medical Affairs goals and medical objectives.
• Participate in two-way scientific communication with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
• Build and maintain professional relationships with community and academic HCPs/KOLs.
• Utilize MSL tools and insights to uncover gaps, risks, and opportunities.
• Employ AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Assess provider educational needs and deliver customized, scientifically balanced responses.
• Convey complex clinical evidence through clear and effective scientific discussions.
• Gather and submit actionable insights that inform medical strategy, asset planning, and cross-functional dialogue.
• Assist investigators and internal teams for both company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.
• Provide objective, compliant information in response to unsolicited research and clinical inquiries.
• Implement Medical Affairs strategy and MSL priorities while adapting to changing data and organizational needs.
• Collaborate in a compliant manner with MSL field partners, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, clinical operations, Sales, and Marketing.
• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions.
• Promote inclusion and belonging both internally and externally.
• Stay proficient in regulatory, healthcare compliance, ethical conduct, and Medical Affairs SOPs.
• Create a performance and development plan and execute leadership projects in collaboration with the direct manager.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including expense reports and activity documentation.
• A Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience is required (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers, etc.).
• Post-graduate experience is required for Doctoral level candidates, with a preference for therapeutic clinical experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience, including proven success as an MSL.
• Strong scientific and therapeutic knowledge with skills in research, data analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to support a defined territory with up to 70% travel, including in-territory visits and attendance at internal meetings, external congresses, and related events.
• Must possess a valid US Driver’s License.
• 2+ years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred.
• Residency/fellowship is preferred.
• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to learning about emerging technologies, such as AI.
