Senior Medical Science Liaison – Hematology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the Michigan region

• Facilitate two-way scientific dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs)

• Build professional connections with community and academic HCPs/KOLs

• Utilize MSL tools and insights to pinpoint gaps, risks, and opportunities

• Employ AI technologies to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes

• Assess provider educational needs and deliver customized, scientifically sound responses

• Present scientific data through clear communication and presentations

• Gather and report actionable insights that inform medical strategy, asset planning, and cross-functional discussions

• Assist investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies

• Address unsolicited research and clinical inquiries with objective, compliant information

• Implement Medical Affairs strategy and prioritize MSL activities

• Collaborate with MSL field partners, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, clinical operations, Sales, and Marketing

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-directed learning, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer discussions

• Promote inclusion and a sense of belonging

• Stay informed about regulatory, healthcare compliance, ethical standards, and Medical Affairs SOPs

• Create performance and development plans and engage in leadership projects with the direct manager

• Fulfill administrative obligations such as expense reporting and activity documentation


⛳️ Requirements

• Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is required (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers, etc.)

• Postgraduate experience is necessary for doctoral-level candidates

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, showcasing success as an MSL

• Strong scientific and therapeutic knowledge in research, data analysis, clinical expertise, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration

• Capability to manage a defined territory with up to 70% travel

• Must possess a valid US Driver’s License

• Therapeutic clinical experience is preferred

• Over 2 years of experience in a therapeutic area is preferred

• Completion of residency/fellowship is preferred

• Board certification for clinical degrees is preferred

• Dedication to learning and implementing emerging technologies such as AI
