Senior Medical Science Liaison – Head & Neck – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Create and execute a scientific engagement strategy for the designated territory.

• Engage in reciprocal scientific dialogue with prominent opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.

• Build and nurture professional relationships with community and academic healthcare practitioners and key opinion leaders.

• Utilize MSL tools and insights to organize customer interactions while identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities.

• Employ AI tools and insights to enhance decision-making, processes, efficiency, and outcomes.

• Assess provider educational needs and deliver customized, scientifically balanced responses.

• Communicate scientific data and convert intricate clinical evidence into significant discussions.

• Gather and report actionable insights that inform medical strategy, asset planning, and cross-functional dialogues.

• Assist investigators and internal partners with company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies.

• Address unsolicited research and clinical inquiries with objective, compliant information.

• Implement Medical Affairs strategy and MSL priorities, adjusting plans in response to evolving data and priorities.

• Collaborate in a compliant manner with MSL field partners, R&D, US and Global Medical Affairs, clinical operations, Sales, and Marketing.

• Maintain scientific knowledge through self-directed study, journal clubs, seminars, congresses, and peer interactions.

• Promote inclusion and belonging while supporting collaborative One J&J objectives.

• Stay informed on regulatory, healthcare compliance, corporate conduct, and Medical Affairs policies.

• Formulate a performance and development plan and lead related projects.

• Fulfill administrative duties, including expense reports and activity documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate-level degree or equivalent experience is mandatory (PharmD, PhD, MD, Advanced Practice Providers, etc.).

• Postgraduate experience is required for Doctoral-level candidates.

• A minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience, showcasing proven success as an MSL.

• Strong scientific/therapeutic knowledge with expertise in research, data analysis, clinical skills, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Capability to support a defined territory with up to 70% travel.

• Possession of a valid US Driver’s License is preferred.

• Residency or fellowship is preferred.

• Previous knowledge or experience in the therapeutic area is preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot, computers, and remote technologies.

• Relevant clinical, research, or pharmaceutical work experience.

• Proven dedication to learning about emerging technologies, including AI.
