Senior Medical Science Liaison – Cardiovascular, Metabolic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Engage with cardiometabolic thought leaders and healthcare decision-makers to convey and promote Amgen’s scientific initiatives.

• Collaborate with healthcare partners to disseminate clinical and scientific information effectively.

• Communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy groups, and access facilitators.

• Provide clinical and economic support to payers, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and formulary committees.

• Share insights and trends from customers with internal teams.

• Address unsolicited inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance regulations.

• Offer field observations and insights to internal teams.

• Execute scientific engagement strategies aligned with annual MSL objectives and metrics.

• Develop and implement plans for local opinion leaders.

• Assist in speaker training and keep speakers informed about new data.

• Support Amgen-sponsored research initiatives and possibly serve as a study lead.

• Educate prospective investigators on the submission of investigator-sponsored studies.

• Lead or participate in project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics.

• Oversee and contribute to congress activities, potentially acting as the congress lead.

• Collaborate effectively and compliantly with cross-functional colleagues, potentially serving as the primary contact.

• Maintain clinical expertise and fulfill all mandatory training requirements.

• May serve as a training lead, mentor for new hires, and/or mentor or trainer for international MSLs.

• Promote the MSL value proposition and achieve results while exemplifying Amgen's values and leadership qualities.

• Exhibit professionalism and tact in all communications and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctorate degree OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in Medical Affairs OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs.

• Preference for Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O.; other doctoral degrees will also be considered.

• Minimum of two years of experience in Scientific or Medical Affairs within a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison role.

• Two or more years of experience focusing on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.

• Experience in a medically related field may include post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships.

• Preference for expertise in cardio-metabolic areas.
