This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create and oversee comprehensive upper-funnel media strategies that encompass linear TV, DIO OTT/CTV, OOH, YouTube, programmatic CTV and video, streaming audio, influencer marketing, and other channels aimed at increasing awareness.
• Act as the primary client-facing media lead on a daily basis, delivering media recommendations, updates on campaigns, performance insights, optimizations, and outlining next steps.
• Collaborate with the Media Director to formulate national and local market strategies aimed at maximizing qualified reach, managing effective frequency, and enhancing brand visibility.
• Leverage audience insights, reach and frequency assessments, competitive intelligence, marketplace data, and campaign insights to guide channel selection, investment levels, target audiences, and media environments.
• Oversee tactical planning, which includes managing RFPs, partner assessments, negotiations, flowcharts, budget oversight, creative specifications, and campaign approvals.
• Work closely with the Investment, Activation, Analytics, and Operations teams to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and alignment in all facets of media planning and execution.
• Track campaign delivery, pacing, audience reach, and media performance, identifying areas for investment optimization and incremental reach enhancement.
• Mentor and support the associate media planner, offering daily guidance and oversight to foster media planning skills and encourage professional development.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 3–4+ years of experience in cross-channel media planning is necessary.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership, the ability to foresee needs, meet deadlines, and drive projects forward.
• Experience in planning for linear TV and OTT/CTV is essential.
• Proficient in MRI-Simmons, with the capacity to analyze audience demographics, behaviors, and media consumption for informed planning and recommendations.
• A solid understanding of reach and frequency, audience delivery, dayparts, programming, media mathematics, and marketplace dynamics is required.
• Experience in developing and managing media plans for both national and local markets is necessary.
• Strong Excel skills are required, including managing media flowcharts, budgets, and campaign reporting.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret campaign performance, extract key insights, and formulate actionable media recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in direct client interactions.
• Familiarity with DOOH, YouTube, programmatic video/CTV, and streaming audio is advantageous.
• Mediaocean experience is preferred, with hands-on Prisma experience for digital and OOH billing and reconciliation viewed as a plus.
• Experience with Nielsen Media Impact, Nielsen One, Commspoint, and Comscore is a plus.
