Middle AI Agent, Developer Experience Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and sustain AI agent functionalities, encompassing tools, skills, commands, and prompts.

• Utilize prompt-engineering strategies to enhance agent precision, dependability, and user-friendliness.

• Establish structured output contracts, error-handling protocols, and evaluation techniques to assess agent performance.

• Create extensions, plugins, and integrations for AI-enhanced development tools.

• Develop and uphold reusable application templates that ensure uniform engineering standards across generated projects.

• Create developer-facing interfaces and internal tools utilizing React and TypeScript.

• Enhance the developer experience through actionable insights, clear error notifications, dependable defaults, and optimized workflows.

• Implement and uphold quality gates, which include type checking, linting, automated testing, and build validation.

• Apply containerization and runtime standards to facilitate secure and consistent application development.

• Collaborate with platform engineers to merge AI capabilities with infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.

• Monitor platform usage, pinpoint areas of friction, and continuously refine the experience based on observed behaviors and user feedback.

• Document technical choices, agent actions, platform features, and development procedures.

• Integrate AI agents into routine engineering tasks and discover opportunities to enhance their effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A robust understanding of application architecture, software engineering, and contemporary development methodologies.

• Practical experience in designing and implementing AI agents, including tools, skills, commands, and prompt engineering.

• Experience systematically assessing AI agent behavior using established criteria, test cases, and supporting documentation.

• Proficiency in React and TypeScript, encompassing modern frontend development practices and build tools.

• Experience in creating reusable application templates, developer tools, internal platforms, or self-service engineering solutions.

• Knowledge of automated testing, type checking, linting, build validation, and software quality standards.

• Familiarity with containerization and application runtime environments.

• Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD principles, and application deployment processes.

• Strong technical English proficiency, including written documentation and remote collaboration skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Ability to work autonomously, navigate uncertainty, and take responsibility for technical outcomes.

• Interest in incorporating AI agents into daily engineering workflows and striving for their continuous improvement.

• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate.

• Nice-to-have: experience in developing plugins, extensions, or integrations for AI-driven development environments.

• Nice-to-have: experience using Python for support services, automation, or AI-related tasks.
