Middle AI Agent, Developer Experience Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and sustain AI agent functionalities, which encompass tools, skills, commands, and prompts.

• Utilize prompt-engineering strategies to enhance the accuracy, reliability, and usability of agents.

• Establish structured output contracts, error-handling frameworks, and assessment techniques for evaluating agent performance.

• Create extensions, plugins, and integrations for AI-enhanced development tools.

• Develop and uphold reusable application templates to ensure consistent engineering standards across all generated projects.

• Construct developer-oriented interfaces and internal tools using React and TypeScript.

• Enhance the developer experience through actionable feedback, clear error notifications, dependable defaults, and optimized workflows.

• Implement and sustain quality assurance measures, including type checking, linting, automated testing, and build validation.

• Employ containerization and runtime protocols for secure and consistent application development.

• Collaborate with platform engineers to seamlessly integrate AI functionalities with infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.

• Monitor platform utilization, pinpoint friction points, and continuously refine the experience based on observed behaviors and user feedback.

• Document technical decisions, agent functionalities, platform capabilities, and development processes.

• Integrate AI agents into daily engineering tasks and identify opportunities to enhance their effectiveness.

• A robust foundation in application architecture, software engineering, and contemporary development practices.

• Practical experience in designing and implementing AI agents, including tools, skills, commands, and prompt engineering.

• Proven experience in systematically evaluating AI agent behavior using established criteria, test cases, and supporting documentation.

• Proficiency in React and TypeScript, incorporating modern frontend development paradigms and build tools.

• Experience in creating reusable application templates, developer tools, internal platforms, or self-service engineering solutions.

• Understanding of automated testing, type checking, linting, build validation, and software quality methodologies.

• Familiarity with containerization and application runtime environments.

• Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD principles, and application deployment workflows.

• Excellent technical English skills, encompassing written documentation and remote teamwork.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguity, and take ownership of technical results.

• Enthusiasm for integrating AI agents into daily engineering practices and consistently improving their functionality.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.
