Senior Material Control, Accountability Specialist

📋 Description

• Deliver technical assistance to the Office of Security Operations and Programmatic Planning’s MC&A Program Implementation Support function.

• Aid in the execution of Material Control and Accountability at NNSA sites.

• Support the development of standardized, risk-based MC&A programs for Category III and IV special nuclear materials.

• Ensure a consistent, measurable, and justifiable MC&A implementation process.

• Establish an MC&A Performance Testing Working Group.

• Provide a technical foundation for the design of MC&A programs based on nuclear material inventories and the missions of NNSA sites.

• Assist in the modernization of LANMAS, which includes requirements development and software testing.

• Support the MC&A Program Manager in implementing directives, developing and validating budgets, meeting regulatory compliance requirements and analyses, and the DNS In-Teach initiative.

• Conduct and oversee courses, schedule training sessions, identify course resources, update training materials, and monitor progress.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Active DOE Q security clearance.

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting MC&A activities.

• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.

• Capability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision.

• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

• Proficiency in prioritizing, monitoring, and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field (preferred).

• More than 15 years of experience in supporting MC&A activities (preferred).

• Willingness and capability to travel 20–30% of the time.
