Senior Manufacturing Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute advanced manufacturing strategies for robotics and automation systems aimed at enhancing scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Partner with design engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and facilitate the smooth transition of new products into production.

• Lead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessments and manufacturing readiness evaluations for all new product launches.

• Supervise the management of tooling and capital investments to support organizational growth.

• Conduct analyses, including FEA and tolerance studies, to optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.

• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, software, controls, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and product success.

• Identify and resolve design challenges, implement effective solutions, and promote continuous improvement.

• Effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Foster a collaborative team environment and cultivate a culture of learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

• At least 8 years of relevant industry experience.

• Strong foundation in mechanical/electrical design principles and practical experience.

• Proven ability to select and integrate components such as motors, sensors, and actuators.

• Familiarity with a range of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, electrical, casting, sheet metal, plastics).

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated capability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Enthusiasm for robotics, automation, and innovation.

• Experience in industrial robotics, automation, or material handling is preferred.

• Knowledge of PLM systems is preferred.

• Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) is preferred.
