This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain the Solutions Engineering team
• Cultivate team members and define clear ownership along with territory coverage
• Establish technical quality benchmarks for demonstrations, trial plans, site evaluations, and customer-facing documentation
• Oversee Solutions Engineering capacity and transparently communicate resource trade-offs to leadership
• Drive the technical success across the Top 1200 nationwide
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for critical opportunities, deployments, and customer challenges
• Collaborate with Sales leadership on pipeline management, forecasting, account strategies, and land-and-expand initiatives
• Standardize demo protocols, site assessment quality, and trial design for scalable repeatability
• Ensure the quality of site assessments and validate dock locations prior to deployment
• Guarantee that proofs of concept are well-structured, linked to opportunities, and measurable
• Lead integration and airspace strategies, including CAD, dispatch, video and evidence management, streaming platforms, BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and docked operations
• Maintain expertise in public sector procurement paths, including cooperative contracts, grant-funded initiatives, and public sector purchasing cycles
• Voice the aggregated customer feedback to Product and Engineering teams
• Create enablement content, reference architectures, and reusable technical resources
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge through regular hands-on experience
• Travel for customer engagements, field activities, deployments, team gatherings, and company events
• Report directly to the Director of Solutions Engineering – SLED
• Over 5 years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing roles in solutions engineering, field engineering, or applications engineering
• At least 1 year of experience leading a technical team, either formally or as a technical lead with responsibilities in hiring and mentorship
• Strong knowledge of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance
• Familiarity with Drone as First Responder operational concepts and dock-based remote operations
• Working knowledge of Public Safety technologies, including CAD, VMS, and associated software platforms
• Proven track record in hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining technical talent
• Experience working within a Sales organization, including managing a quota and deal strategy
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• FAA Part 107 Certificate, or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of employment
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time
• Capability to lift up to 60 lbs without assistance
• Prior experience in public safety service, Drone as First Responder programs, grant funding, familiarity with cooperative purchasing vehicles, Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or experience in scaling technical teams are advantageous
