This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain the Solutions Engineering team.
• Set technical quality benchmarks for demonstrations, trial plans, site evaluations, and documentation intended for customers.
• Manage team capacity and distribute Solutions Engineering resources throughout the segment.
• Propel technical successes within the majors portfolio, encompassing multi-site and citywide initiatives.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for critical pursuits, deployments, and client concerns.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership on pipeline management, forecasting, account strategy, and initiatives aimed at expansion.
• Ensure the quality of site assessments and confirm dock locations prior to deployment.
• Uphold high standards for proofs of concept linked to current opportunities and measurable operational benefits.
• Steer integration and airspace strategy, covering CAD, dispatch, video and evidence management, streaming platforms, BVLOS approvals, waivers, COAs, and docked operations.
• Stay informed about public sector procurement processes, cooperative contracts, grant-funded programs, and purchasing cycles.
• Convey the collective customer perspective to Product and Engineering teams.
• Develop enablement materials, reference architectures, and reusable technical resources.
• Maintain in-depth product knowledge through regular hands-on experience.
• Report to the Director of Solutions Engineering – SLED.
• Facilitate customer interactions, field operations, deployments, team on-site events, and company gatherings with approximately 30% travel.
• Over 5 years of relevant technical experience, including customer-facing roles in solutions engineering, field engineering, or applications engineering.
• At least 1 year of experience leading a technical team, either formally or in a lead capacity with responsibilities for hiring and mentorship.
• Solid understanding of drone technology, Public Safety sUAS operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with Public Safety technologies, such as CAD, VMS, and associated software platforms.
• Proven ability in hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining technical talent.
• Confidence in operating within a Sales organization, including managing a quota and developing deal strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
• Capability to lift up to 60 lbs without assistance.
• FAA Part 107 certification is strongly encouraged for all employees within the first 60 days and is mandatory for certain roles.
• Experience in public safety service, Drone as First Responder programs, grant funding, cooperative purchasing knowledge, Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or similar experiences are advantageous.
