Senior Manager, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead a worldwide team of software and quality engineers dedicated to Enterprise Data Integration solutions.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to achieve strategic goals in product development, quality, innovation, and business objectives.

• Work alongside Product Management, Architecture, Technical Support, and other stakeholders to provide innovative, high-quality, and maintainable software solutions.

• Drive engineering execution, enhance software quality, spearhead modernization initiatives, and ensure reliable product delivery.

• Establish and direct the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of software capabilities.

• Promote engineering excellence through robust design, automation, testing, security, and quality practices.

• Guide teams that support critical customer operations, including addressing customer escalations, production incidents, and operational events.

• Participate outside regular business hours as necessary for critical incidents, major customer escalations, release events, and operational commitments.

• Cultivate and maintain a high-performance culture centered on accountability, ownership, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Mentor, coach, and develop talent while managing performance and nurturing future leaders.

• Advocate for AI-enabled engineering practices and identify opportunities to integrate AI into engineering workflows and product capabilities.

• Encourage knowledge sharing, cross-training, and collaboration among globally distributed teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive software engineering experience, including leadership roles for enterprise software solutions.

• Proven success in building, leading, and nurturing high-performance engineering teams.

• Strong technical leadership across mainframe, distributed, hybrid, and cloud environments.

• Experience in delivering and supporting critical business software solutions.

• Established ability to lead during customer escalations, production incidents, and operational challenges.

• Experience in fostering accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.

• Background in managing performance, coaching employees, and making challenging leadership decisions with professionalism and integrity.

• Familiarity with evaluating and adopting emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and contemporary engineering practices.

• Preferred: Experience with Enterprise Data Integration, data movement technologies, metadata management, data governance, databases, or similar enterprise software platforms.

• Preferred: Experience in driving modernization initiatives while ensuring operational stability and meeting customer commitments.

• Preferred: Experience implementing AI-enabled engineering practices or AI-powered product capabilities.

• Preferred: Strong listening skills, intellectual curiosity, and enthusiasm for innovation.
