Senior Manager, Software Engineering – Android, POS Payments Experience

📋 Description

• Lead the team responsible for the POS Payments Experience.

• Propel the achievement of business objectives related to POS payments, encompassing planning, scheduling, and execution.

• Foster collaboration across teams and organizations within POS and Fintech domains.

• Work alongside PM and UX to curate the team's backlog with actionable and valuable tasks.

• Guarantee comprehensive software quality and delivery, which includes monitoring and taking ownership of production issues.

• Collaborate with technical leaders to establish technical direction and enhance architecture, codebase, and engineering methodologies.

• Recruit and nurture new team members.

• Mentor individuals in their professional and technical growth.

• Advocate for AI tools and practices to expedite development, enhance team velocity, and innovate building methodologies.

• Collaborate with POS and Fintech teams; assist engineers in contributing to the web-based POS payments configuration experience.

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring successful teams to achieve predictable business outcomes.

• Background in delivering mobile products, preferably on Android, to a large audience.

• Experience in mobile codebases involving numerous developers.

• Strong technical expertise in Java, Kotlin, and Android.

• Experience balancing core contributions with cross-team collaborations.

• Proficient in communicating technical designs and participating in the design process.

• Willingness to engage hands-on or delve deeply to assist the team in achieving its objectives.
