This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and implement territory sales strategies that align with Lonza's strategic goals, growth priorities, and market potential.
• Generate pipeline growth through proactive prospecting, lead qualification, and focused business development initiatives.
• Oversee and expand key customer accounts by enhancing existing business, increasing account penetration, and ensuring customer loyalty.
• Act as the main commercial contact for late-stage and commercial pharmaceutical clients throughout the sales process.
• Conduct customer business reviews, Joint Steering Committees, and Executive Steering Committees to fortify strategic partnerships and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with technical, operational, and project management teams to ensure effective program onboarding, execution, and overall customer experience.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and introduce clients to additional Lonza services, technologies, and business units.
• Leverage CRM tools, market intelligence, and key performance metrics to manage sales pipelines, predict revenue, and make data-driven business decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical CDMO sales, business development, account management, or pharmaceutical development and commercialization.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while fostering strategic customer relationships.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, commercialization, and GMP-regulated environments.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing complex sales cycles and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders within matrixed organizations.
• Ability to effectively prioritize opportunities, manage multiple accounts, and drive business results.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
• Knowledge of oral dosage forms, inhalation products, and bioavailability enhancement technologies.
• Established network within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% as business needs dictate.
