This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Take ownership of FuzeRx’s quality management systems (QMS), including those related to supply chain and manufacturing partners.
• Create and maintain quality policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Ensure that recalls, deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), complaints, adverse events, and investigations are documented, monitored, and resolved.
• Facilitate inspection and audit preparation in collaboration with compliance and operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance the quality culture within the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
• Oversee the compilation, accuracy, and timely reporting of quality metrics to licensing boards, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and accreditation organizations such as URAC.
• Design, track, analyze, and present quality dashboards, error rates, and performance key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
• Monitor trends related to medication errors, near misses, dispensing quality, patient complaints, shipping quality, and customer-specific metrics.
• Analyze data to detect recurring issues and emerging risks.
• Conduct root cause analyses for quality incidents and operational failures.
• Initiate and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Recommend and lead process enhancements that minimize variation and enhance quality and safety.
• Assess the effectiveness of quality improvements.
• Analyze patient complaints and satisfaction trends, identifying operational drivers affecting the patient experience.
• Develop strategies to enhance service quality, turnaround times, and patient outcomes.
• Work closely with Customer Experience teams to mitigate repeat issues.
• Collaborate with compliance, operations, clinical services, enterprise, and regulatory affairs teams.
• Provide guidance and training on best practices in quality management.
• Recruit and develop team members while managing team performance.
• Offer direct oversight, strategic direction, and daily management to the quality team.
• Create career paths, provide mentorship, conduct performance reviews, and encourage professional development.
• Graduate from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) in good standing with a state Board of Pharmacy, along with any non-resident licenses as required by business strategy.
• Over 5 years of management experience in quality or compliance roles.
• More than 5 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare supply chain quality assurance.
• In-depth knowledge of FDA, DEA, cGMP, and state pharmacy regulations.
• Experience in conducting and managing CAPA and implementing QMS processes.
• Strong collaborative skills across supply chain, operations, clinical, and regulatory teams.
• Proficiency in GSuite, Slack, and digital quality management systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and vendors.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor, and scale a technical or clinical quality team.
• Experience in a dynamic, start-up environment.
• Strong capability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable communication.
• Formal training in process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) is preferred.
• Formal quality certification is preferred.
• Formal project management training/certification is preferred.
