Senior Manager, Remarketing Operations – Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee IAA's vehicle reconditioning and enhancement program throughout the nationwide branch network.

• Take charge of the complete make-ready/enhancement process, which encompasses inspections, light mechanical repairs, detailing/cleaning, key management, paint touch-ups, and de-identification.

• Establish criteria for readiness for sale and create standard operating procedures.

• Supervise Make-Ready Analysts, distributing workload, setting objectives and priorities, coaching execution, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Direct vendor management and outsourcing strategy, which includes vendor onboarding, coordination, issue escalation, KPIs, and SLAs.

• Formulate and track budgets and forecasts; report on expenditures, vendor costs, and program margins.

• Enhance billing and cost-capture processes, set up approval checkpoints, and lead cost assessments.

• Collaborate with regional and branch operations to implement and maintain the program.

• Develop job aids and training materials, reinforce quality-control checklists, and establish post-enhancement inspection standards.

• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, as well as seller SLAs and contract controls.

• Expand enhancement services as a revenue-generating initiative in conjunction with Sales, Account Management, Product, IT, Finance, and Analytics.

• Create dashboards and KPIs, and contribute to strategic planning and decisions regarding Remarketing service expansion.

• Establish performance metrics linked to cost and cycle-time objectives, and provide insights on staffing, recruitment, and disciplinary measures.

• Report to the Sr. Director of Field Development and Support or another relevant field operations leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a 4-Year Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.

• An MBA or a similar advanced degree is preferred.

• Lean/Six Sigma (or equivalent continuous improvement) certifications are preferred.

• 7-10+ years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience managing vehicle reconditioning/enhancement operations.

• Familiarity with vendor management and outsourcing strategies.

• Capability to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.

• Understanding of billing, cost-capture, KPIs, SLAs, and contract alignment.

• Ability to guarantee compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Product, IT, Finance, Analytics, Procurement, and Training.
