Senior Manager, Program Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop the objectives for the Delivery Project Management Office (PMO) Controls.

• Lead and manage project-level controls related to cost, schedule, and performance data across construction projects.

• Collaborate with Preconstruction, Construction leadership, project teams, and Construction Finance to establish, maintain, and govern project controls.

• Create and oversee project budgets, schedules, and forecasting processes.

• Set standards for cost and schedule control.

• Supervise project-level reporting, variance analysis, and performance metrics.

• Integrate cost data and assist in funding and governance reviews alongside the Cost Manager.

• Manage schedule oversight, change management, risk and contingency tracking, and EML reporting.

• Administer and continuously enhance project controls systems and processes.

• Lead, develop, train, and supervise a project controls team consisting of cost managers and schedulers.

• Create and present information to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct project reviews and analyses to identify critical path activities, delays, cost impacts, and opportunities for optimization.

• Provide leadership for the portfolio, offering strategic direction and decision-making.

• Generate executive-level reports on performance, risk mitigation, and recovery plans.

• Collaborate with Preconstruction, Construction Finance, and Development teams on project data, visibility, forecasting, and baselining.

• Define KPIs, dashboards, and conduct in-depth analyses.

• Implement strategies and policies for real-time awareness of project and portfolio risks and exposures.

• Promote the adoption and consistent use of project controls tools through comprehensive documentation, training, and follow-through support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or a related field.

• 12-15 years of progressively responsible experience in leading project or portfolio controls, particularly for multiple large-scale, complex projects.

• Proven experience successfully managing a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team.

• Experience in data center or mission-critical facility construction is highly desirable.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

• Domestic travel is required; approximately 25%.
