This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the implementation of CSI's Cards product strategy and roadmap.
• Spearhead card operations initiatives within the Payments organization.
• Establish the vision, direction, and long-term strategy for Commercial Card, Prepaid Card, and Secured Card solutions.
• Propel product innovation by identifying market opportunities, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• Create business cases, pricing strategies, ROI analyses, and profitability models.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from strategy and prioritization through development, launch, adoption, and optimization.
• Maintain product documentation, roadmaps, positioning statements, and strategic artifacts.
• Assist in go-to-market initiatives and product launches in conjunction with Product Marketing.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Product Managers and Product Analysts.
• Promote collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and opportunities for professional development.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, and align the team with the organization's goals.
• Drive departmental objectives and key results (OKRs).
• Manage departmental performance within approved budgets and operational targets.
• Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
• Engage in consultative discussions with financial institutions regarding card products, payment strategies, and market opportunities.
• Support strategic customer engagements, demonstrations, and cross-sell opportunities.
• Represent CSI at conferences, industry events, webinars, and customer forums.
• Keep track of market trends, payment technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to Agile, Scrum, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Drive product execution and excellence in delivery.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize initiatives and align product investments with business objectives.
• Contribute to strategic planning and guide the future direction of the Payments organization.
• Over 10 years of professional experience in Product Management, Payments, Financial Services, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading Product Management teams and cultivating high-performing product organizations.
• Proven success in defining product strategies, roadmaps, feature prioritization, and lifecycle management.
• Experience in leading complex payments or financial technology projects from concept to execution.
• Strong people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Extensive expertise in the card payments sector, covering Commercial Cards, Prepaid Cards, Secured Cards, Card Issuing Platforms, Card Program Management, and Payment Networks.
• Hands-on experience in Commercial Card product management is essential.
• In-depth understanding of commercial payment workflows, spend controls and card program administration, virtual card capabilities, card lifecycle management, and card network rules and operating regulations.
• Experience in supporting or managing Prepaid Card and Secured Card programs.
• Knowledge of card network compliance standards, fraud prevention and mitigation strategies, risk management frameworks, and regulatory and operational requirements for card programs.
• Experience in handling customer escalations and complex operational challenges.
• Strong capabilities in market research and competitive analysis.
• Ability to identify customer pain points and translate them into innovative product solutions.
• Experience in developing business cases, pricing models, and financial analyses.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working directly with banks, credit unions, fintechs, or financial institutions.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Proven skill in influencing decision-makers and successfully managing complex customer situations.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Familiarity with Aha!, Jira, Confluence, or similar product management tools.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams, Product Owners, Engineering, and Architecture.
• Pragmatic Institute Certification Level II or higher is preferred.
• Experience with payment modernization initiatives or digital transformation efforts is preferred.
• Experience in the community bank or credit union industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with card processing platforms and payment ecosystem integrations is preferred.
• Strong understanding of emerging trends in digital payments and embedded finance is preferred.
