This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee procurement managers and/or supervisors across various spend categories, locations, or business units, including aspects such as hiring, terminations, performance evaluations, and salary reviews.
• Lead the creation and execution of procurement strategies that align with the organization's objectives for cost efficiency and supply chain dependability.
• Assist in the formulation and implementation of the future-state procurement operating model, encompassing organizational design, processes, technology, policies, procedures, governance, and KPIs.
• Create category strategies and multi-year sourcing plans across key spending areas.
• Standardize procure-to-pay processes, approval workflows, and delegation-of-authority thresholds.
• Establish and manage procurement KPIs, including purchase order cycle times, contract compliance, cost savings, supplier delivery, and purchase price variance.
• Develop and maintain procurement spend analyses and Power BI reporting dashboards.
• Authorize higher-value contracts and address escalated procurement challenges.
• Direct the selection, evaluation, performance assessments, and corrective action plans for suppliers.
• Set up supplier performance and risk management frameworks and maintain the procurement risk register.
• Assess, select, and lead the implementation of procurement technologies and tools.
• Establish and supervise vendor contract management processes and related technologies.
• Manage procurement budgets, expenditures, cost controls, and savings initiatives.
• Build and report on procurement savings and value-creation pipelines in collaboration with Finance.
• Distribute purchasing capacity, staffing, and resources among teams.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, IT, BI and Analytics, and business leaders.
• Report procurement performance, savings, and risks to senior management.
• Mentor supervisors and managers while establishing succession and capability planning.
• A bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted on a 1:1 basis.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing.
• Experience in managing first-level managers and/or supervisors, including hiring, performance management, and salary decisions.
• Proven experience in managing a procurement budget and achieving cost savings, contract compliance, and supplier performance goals.
• Skilled in negotiating and awarding supply agreements and resolving complex supplier and commercial issues.
• Experience in developing category strategies, strategic sourcing pipelines, spend analytics capabilities, supplier performance initiatives, and contract management processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of strategic procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract lifecycle management, spend analytics, procurement governance, and the procure-to-pay cycle.
• Ability to develop and standardize procurement policies, controls, and processes across multiple teams or business units.
• Proficient in supplier negotiation, evaluation, and performance management, including scorecards, reviews, and corrective actions.
• Ability to analyze spending, cost structures, and budget implications and translate insights into savings and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to define business requirements for procurement reporting, dashboards, and data models, including spend analysis cubes, Power BI dashboards, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, and contract compliance reporting.
• Working proficiency with ERP and procure-to-pay systems, spend analytics, and supplier management tools.
• Experience in establishing procurement operating models, policies, procedures, governance structures, stakeholder engagement models, and change management strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present procurement performance and risk to senior leadership.
• Capability to resolve conflicts across business units related to cost, quality, schedule, and risk.
• Must possess valid work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time.
