This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Oversee the procurement team and implement efficient performance metrics and measures.
• Ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to issue purchase orders in accordance with FAR/DFAR.
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to rectify any skill and knowledge deficiencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define, and enhance supply scope, purchasing needs, and statements of work.
• Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and confirm that necessary approvals are secured prior to the release of purchase orders.
• Engage specialists to resolve conflicts and risks related to supplier terms that deviate from the standard company purchase order terms.
• Assist in supplier engagement initiatives, including negotiations and performance management.
• Lead and oversee procurement processes, projects, and strategies.
• Manage supplier recovery efforts, assess risks and opportunities, and nurture internal customer and supplier relations.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and coach team members while developing an organized team structure.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least ten (10) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field accompanied by a minimum of seven (7) years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Extensive knowledge in leading and managing procurement processes, projects, and strategies.
• Significant experience in proactive supplier management, leadership engagements, and recovery initiatives.
• Proven experience managing CPFF/IF/AF and FFP purchase orders in compliance with FAR/DFAR, including build-to-print/spec and SSOWs.
• Comprehensive knowledge and skills in procurement and contracting within FAR/DFAR frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Program Management, Engineering, and Material Program Managers.
• Proven background in procurement activities and managing relationships with both internal customers and suppliers.
• Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams and influencing stakeholders at an operational level within a compliance structure.
• Competency in managing financial and operational risks and opportunities.
• Experience in negotiating with suppliers and customers.
• Deep understanding of defense technologies and import/export regulations.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, mentor, and coach team members while establishing an organized team framework.
• Exceptional executive-level presentation and communication skills.
