This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
β’ Spearhead the development and implementation of the Payments platform strategy and roadmap for Guest Pay-ins, refunds, payment plans, payment methods, and processing resilience.
β’ Provide product leadership in collaboration with Engineering on redundancy, vaulting, processor performance, optimization, and availability throughout the payment funnel.
β’ Supervise the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and feasibility analysis to execution, launch, and post-launch enhancement.
β’ Guide and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Product Marketing, Platform Risk, Compliance, and other cross-functional teams.
β’ Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of senior platform managers.
β’ Offer expert insights into competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, and consumer trends to inform the broader payments platform strategy.
β’ Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate plans, progress, and results to senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
β’ Define and track key product metrics to ensure product quality and promote continuous improvement.
β’ 12+ years of product management experience in inbound (pay-ins) and outbound (pay-outs) money movement within a payments, finance, or heavily transactional organization.
β’ Demonstrated product management experience with a profound understanding of stakeholder needs.
β’ Strong interpersonal abilities, including the capability to challenge ideas, ask questions, and foster collaborative partnerships.
β’ Experience collaborating directly with legal, tax, compliance, risk, and payments operations teams.
β’ Direct experience working with Engineers.
β’ Startup experience; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs and limited resources.
β’ Ability to distill large volumes of unstructured and diverse information into clear requirements.
β’ Experience in developing products for various countries and cultures.
β’ Bonus points for experience with global and local non-credit-card payment methods.
β’ Bonus points for experience across Payments, Risk, and Compliance systems and tools.
β’ Must reside in a state where Airbnb Payments, Inc. is a registered entity; approved remote states include Alabama, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington.
