Senior Manager, Payments Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the Sift and Plaid Signal risk platforms, overseeing every aspect from rules and models to thresholds, score tuning, and feedback loops.

• Develop and execute identity and fraud controls while maintaining a balance with good-user friction.

• Manage loss, returns, and fraud metrics, providing updates on progress.

• Lead cross-functional risk initiatives in collaboration with ACH Operations to drive measurable results.

• Collaborate directly with Product Managers and Engineering to implement risk controls and convey data-driven justifications.

• Engage in hands-on analytical work while guiding the direction of the analyst team.

• Supervise an analyst and expand the team as the function evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in payments risk or fraud, with a proven track record of managing loss and fraud outcomes along with relevant metrics.

• Proficient data analysis skills.

• Capable of coding in Python and SQL.

• Comfortable working directly with a data warehouse.

• A strong individual contributor with the ability to lead a small team.

• Previous experience leading a payments risk or fraud team at a fintech or payments organization is highly desirable.

• A genuine curiosity paired with a tendency to delve into the details.

• Familiarity with using LLMs and modern tools to enhance investigation, analysis, or controls.

• Experience in a fintech environment working with an ACH product is an added advantage.
