This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Perform thorough assessments of safety and risk management for both insured clients and internal team members.
• Provide analytical insights on risk to underwriting teams to facilitate profitable expansion.
• Build and maintain relationships with agents and policyholders.
• Lead safety seminars and training sessions.
• Conduct evaluations of onsite facilities, focusing on building operations, maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, machinery, and roof conditions.
• Evaluate facility protection measures, including fire suppression and alarm systems.
• Prepare detailed reports for Property, General Liability, Auto, Workers Compensation, and other insured lines.
• Support clients in creating and executing safety policies, programs, and procedures.
• Offer advanced risk management and consultative services to designated clients.
• Carry out job-site safety inspections and OSHA 10-hour seminars for construction clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge in commercial property protection, general liability, product liability, fleet safety, and employee safety.
• Design, coordinate, and lead safety/risk management seminars and training sessions.
• Develop and implement service proposals and strategies for qualified accounts.
• Oversee a territory that encompasses North Carolina and Virginia.
• A Bachelor's degree in Safety is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• A focus on Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or Physical Sciences is preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in insurance safety consulting or safety roles within private industry, including construction and manufacturing.
• A high degree of independence, organization, and self-motivation to work from home.
• Preferred experience in coordinating and servicing large or multi-location accounts.
• Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA Standards, and DOT regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to master specialized building valuation systems, diagramming, and reporting software.
• A satisfactory motor vehicle record for travel, with approximately 50% travel required, including overnight stays in some cases.
• A strong desire to pursue professional safety certifications, such as CSP and/or other relevant designations.
