This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of Trust & Safety and integrity policies, overseeing their creation, revision, version control, and retirement.
• Formulate policies addressing emerging risks by analyzing incident trends, regulatory changes, and industry standards.
• Establish enforcement standards and decision-making frameworks.
• Shape and ultimately manage the appeals framework.
• Ensure that policies are consistent with the Terms of Service and are reviewed against actual incidents.
• Maintain logs of policy changes and governance procedures.
• Co-manage quality assurance and calibration processes in collaboration with Operations Enablement.
• Convert policy changes into training materials, workflows, and tools.
• Oversee trend analysis and regular risk reporting related to incidents, reports, enforcement actions, and appeals.
• Monitor and enhance risk signals for members and vendors.
• Identify emerging threats and evaluate their potential impact.
• Lead root-cause analysis for significant incidents and recurring problems.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to Product, Policy, and Operations teams, and track their implementation and effectiveness.
• Translate complex risk findings into comprehensible narratives for leadership.
• Aid in the detection of fraud and abuse through pattern and link analysis.
• Investigate referral and promotional abuse, as well as suspicious booking activities.
• Collaborate with Product and Policy teams on root-cause mitigations.
• Over 8 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Risk, Integrity, Fraud, or Platform Governance.
• Proven history of conducting risk or trend analysis that has influenced product, policy, or operational decisions.
• Proficient in working directly with data to identify trends and create reports; experience with SQL or similar tools is highly preferred.
• Background in managing or developing Trust & Safety policies, enforcement standards, appeals processes, or QA/audit programs within an active enforcement setting.
• Familiarity with fraud, abuse, or platform misuse is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, comfort with uncertainty, and the ability to make principled trade-offs.
• Experience in a marketplace, booking, or two-sided platform business is preferred.
• Practical experience with link analysis, network analysis, or fraud detection tools is preferred.
• Experience in developing or co-managing QA or calibration programs for enforcement teams is preferred.
• Exposure to Trust & Safety regulatory environments is preferred.
