This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee governance, strategic direction, execution, and operational excellence for the global Workday platform.
• Supervise Workday analysts, contractors, administrators, and technical teams that support Workday domains and integrations.
• Collaborate with business sponsors to develop Workday product strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and investment priorities.
• Ensure platform ownership and delivery oversight across Workday HCM, Talent and Performance, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Reporting and Analytics, Security, and Integrations.
• Lead a Product Team of Workday technical specialists, focusing on performance objectives, career development plans, succession planning, and accountability.
• Oversee offshore resources that assist with development and operational tasks.
• Work closely with the Scrum Master to facilitate project management.
• Act as the primary IT liaison for Workday, managing demand intake and balancing competing priorities.
• Convert business strategy into Workday capabilities and provide guidance to leaders on product trade-offs and investment choices.
• Supervise Workday enhancements, integrations, upgrades, transformations, and optimization efforts while adhering to Agile delivery principles.
• Ensure that initiatives are completed on schedule, within scope, within budget, and deliver measurable business value.
• Guarantee compliance with privacy, data governance, HR, Payroll, role-based security, and system stability standards.
• Manage relationships with Workday vendors, including escalations, contracts, budgets, licensing, business cases, ROI analyses, and support agreements.
• Over 10 years of experience in IT, HRIS, enterprise applications, or HR technology.
• At least 3 years of experience leading Workday teams or medium to large Workday programs.
• A minimum of 5 years in leadership or management roles.
• Expertise in Workday across multiple domains, including Workday HCM, Talent and Performance, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Security, Reporting and Analytics, and Workday Integrations.
• Experience in Agile product management.
• Knowledge of portfolio management.
• Proficiency in vendor management.
• Awareness of enterprise architecture.
• Understanding of API and integration strategies.
• Skills in change management.
• Familiarity with service management practices.
• Knowledge of role-based access controls.
• Proven track record in leading Workday implementations, upgrades, transformations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with HR and Payroll leaders.
• Experience in managing Workday budgets and contracts.
• Ability to develop business cases and ROI analyses.
• Experience working with Workday vendors, service providers, and integration partners.
