This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee governance, strategy, delivery, and operational excellence for the global Workday platform.
• Supervise Workday analysts, contractors, administrators, and technical personnel supporting Workday functionalities.
• Collaborate with business sponsors on Workday product strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and investment priorities.
• Provide ownership of the platform and oversee delivery across various Workday domains.
• Lead a Product Team of Workday technical specialists, focusing on performance objectives, career development plans, succession strategies, and accountability.
• Manage offshore resources that support the product team and closely coordinate with the Scrum Master.
• Act as the main IT partner for Workday, overseeing demand intake and product trade-offs.
• Supervise Workday enhancements, integrations, upgrades, transformations, optimization initiatives, and service management using Agile methodologies.
• Ensure that initiatives are completed on schedule, within scope, on budget, and deliver measurable business value.
• Guarantee compliance with privacy, data governance, HR, Payroll, role-based security, and system stability standards.
• Manage relationships with Workday vendors, addressing escalations, contracts, budgets, licensing, business cases, ROI analyses, and support agreements.
• Over 10 years of experience in IT, HRIS, enterprise applications, or HR technology.
• At least 3 years of experience leading Workday teams or managing medium to large Workday programs.
• More than 5 years of leadership and management experience.
• Expertise in multiple Workday domains, including Workday HCM, Talent and Performance, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Security, Reporting and Analytics, and Workday Integrations.
• Proficient in Agile product management.
• Experience in portfolio management.
• Knowledge in vendor management.
• Awareness of enterprise architecture.
• Understanding of API and integration strategies.
• Experience in change management.
• Familiarity with service management practices.
• Knowledge of role-based access controls.
• Proven track record in leading Workday implementations, upgrades, transformations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives.
• Experience collaborating with HR and Payroll leaders.
• Background in managing Workday budgets and contracts.
• Experience in developing business cases and conducting ROI analyses.
• Experience working with Workday vendors, service providers, and integration partners.
