This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee daily IT operations while ensuring a secure, compliant, and reliable technology environment.
• Directly manage and resolve issues related to Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and associated Microsoft 365 services.
• Supervise the Managed Service Provider and additional technology vendors.
• Handle identity and access controls, device enrollment, Autopilot, compliance policies, application deployment, security baselines, and update policies.
• Investigate alerts from Microsoft Defender and coordinate security remediation efforts.
• Administer SharePoint sites, manage permissions, external sharing, governance, and access-related concerns.
• Utilize PowerShell, Microsoft administrative portals, logs, and audit records for troubleshooting and automating administrative tasks.
• Ensure the daily performance, availability, and reliability of corporate IT services.
• Act as the escalation point for complex issues related to Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity, access, and security.
• Oversee processes for incident, request, problem, change, and escalation management.
• Monitor service levels, recurring issues, system performance, and user satisfaction metrics.
• Develop and maintain IT procedures, technical documentation, operational standards, policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Assist with employee onboarding, offboarding, access modifications, and technology lifecycle management.
• Lead operational cybersecurity initiatives to enhance security posture.
• Oversee endpoint security, vulnerability management, patching, identity security, email protection, and privileged access.
• Maintain cybersecurity risk assessments, remediation plans, and risk registers.
• Coordinate incident response, investigations, recovery efforts, and corrective actions.
• Manage security-awareness and phishing training programs.
• Support the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and CIS Controls.
• Facilitate adherence to GxP requirements, quality standards, regulated change control, computerized system validation, audits, inspections, and evidence collection.
• Maintain processes for business continuity, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery testing.
• Track compliance, security, and audit remediation activities to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to internal IT personnel.
• Collaborate with business functions and external technology partners to deliver secure, scalable IT services.
• Communicate technical issues, risks, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Foster accountability, automation, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of increasingly responsible experience in IT operations, infrastructure, Microsoft cloud administration, endpoint management, or cybersecurity.
• Recent hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Strong understanding of Conditional Access, multifactor authentication, privileged access, enterprise applications, single sign-on, and guest-user governance.
• Profound knowledge of Intune device management, Autopilot, compliance policies, configuration profiles, application deployment, and security baselines.
• Experience in investigating and resolving Microsoft Defender alerts.
• Proficiency in administering SharePoint permissions, external sharing, site configuration, and governance.
• Familiarity with using PowerShell and administrative tools for troubleshooting Microsoft environments.
• Experience in managing Managed Service Providers and third-party technology vendors.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity controls, vulnerability management, incident response, and endpoint security.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel 10-15%, as necessary.
• Preferred: experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, or other regulated sectors.
• Preferred: background in supporting GxP systems, audits, change control, and computerized system validation.
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Purview, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud Apps, or Defender for Identity.
• Preferred: familiarity with NIST, CIS Controls, ITIL, and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Preferred: experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, software licensing, and IT budgeting.
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect, CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, or ITIL Foundation.
