This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary owner and subject matter authority for the Global Shop ERP application utilized across various manufacturing sectors.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of ERP implementations, which includes planning, requirements gathering, configuration, testing, user acceptance, training, cutover, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Create and manage project plans for implementations, including timelines, risks, issues, and communication strategies.
• Configure and sustain Global Shop modules for manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, production scheduling, engineering, and other operational functions.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate application issues, system defects, integration failures, and data inconsistencies.
• Generate and maintain PSQL queries, reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors on ERP integrations.
• Assess business processes and suggest ERP solutions that enhance efficiency, standardization, and data integrity.
• Coordinate software upgrades, patches, enhancements, and testing with vendors and implementation partners.
• Document ERP configurations, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Provide application support to Global Shop users across various business locations.
• Train end users and business process owners on ERP functionalities and best practices.
• Manage relationships with the Global Shop software vendor and implementation partners.
• Supervise and guide ERP support personnel while establishing application support standards and processes.
• Support business acquisitions and future ERP expansion projects.
• Travel to manufacturing sites for implementations, training, and operational requirements (10–20%).
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in supporting enterprise ERP systems within a manufacturing context.
• At least 5 years of practical experience with Global Shop ERP is required.
• Proven experience in leading full lifecycle ERP implementations from planning to post-go-live support.
• Experience in managing software vendors and implementation partners.
• Advanced functional and technical knowledge of the Global Shop ERP system.
• Experience in configuring and supporting manufacturing ERP environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production, inventory, purchasing, warehouse management, and shop floor processes.
• Advanced skills in writing and troubleshooting PSQL queries.
• Experience in developing operational reports and data extracts.
• Experience in troubleshooting ERP integrations and coordinating with integration partners.
• Solid understanding of ERP security, user administration, and system configuration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
