This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.
• Guide and train Delivery Managers and surge roster members on response systems, tools, and operational best practices.
• Assess learning opportunities and aid in the professional development of team members through key performance indicators.
• Ensure quality assurance throughout emergency responses.
• Collaborate with the Delivery Director to shape the strategic vision and direction of the Delivery team.
• Assist in surge roster readiness, onboarding, and preparation for deployment.
• Create tools, protocols, and documentation for steady-state operations.
• Enhance operational tools and protocols to expedite readiness across various countries.
• Perform operational diligence and feasibility assessments for potential responses.
• Define, monitor, and report on operational efficiency metrics.
• Serve in a designated functional role during emergency responses.
• Convert field insights into donor proposals, updates, and campaign materials.
• Represent GiveDirectly at both internal and external forums, including media engagements.
• Be prepared to deploy on short notice to implement Emergency Cash crisis response programs.
• Oversee program implementation, test methods and tools, drive program design, liaise with local authorities and response actors, and ensure effective communication and documentation.
• Conduct field assessments, coordinate logistics, and ensure the safety and security of deployed teams.
• 5–7+ years of experience in problem solving, team management, cross-functional collaboration, and/or new business development.
• 5+ years of experience working in challenging environments, including low-resource and high-insecurity contexts.
• 3–5+ years of experience in providing direct mentoring or coaching to teams.
• Prior experience in humanitarian or emergency settings is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional alignment with GiveDirectly's values, showcasing emotional intelligence, problem solving, project management, follow-through, and inclusivity.
• Analytical and iterative problem-solving mindset, with the capacity for prioritization and process development.
• Strong project management abilities, capable of managing multiple workstreams and setting priorities.
• Strong technical skills, including data analysis and the ability to learn third-party technology platforms and tools.
• Background in partnership and relationship management preferred for fundraising purposes.
• Excellent speaking, writing, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and a knack for building systems from the ground up.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Proficiency in French, Portuguese, Arabic, or other additional languages is advantageous.
• Willingness to deploy on short notice for emergency responses and work in challenging settings.
• Bonus at target performance: 10%, with potential for additional upside.
• Annual benefits stipend: $21,393 for employees based in the United States; £2,760 in the United Kingdom; $8,453 in Kenya.
