This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee daily Cyber Defense & Response operations, ensuring readiness, execution excellence, and alignment with NVIDIA’s cybersecurity objectives.
• Manage the entire incident response lifecycle, which includes investigation, containment, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
• Serve as the primary contact for significant security incidents and make decisive containment choices.
• Expand detection and response capabilities across both on-premises and multi-cloud settings, including GPU-accelerated and AI/ML workloads.
• Establish detection benchmarks, monitoring standards, coverage objectives, and compliance criteria.
• Take responsibility for operational metrics and results, such as MTTD, MTTC, MTTR, detection coverage, alert quality, and reduction of false positives.
• Implement enhancements to Cyber Defense & Response using agile methodologies, risk-prioritized backlogs, planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Propel the automation of manual SOC tasks through event-driven AI pipelines.
• Collaborate with Security Engineering to operationalize tools, automation, playbooks, and improvements following incidents.
• Foster team well-being, operational processes, and collaboration across functions.
• Protect NVIDIA’s corporate, cloud, and product environments.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• More than 10 years of overall experience in the field of cybersecurity.
• At least 4 years of experience managing personnel within a SOC or incident response environment.
• Deep technical expertise in SIEM queries, automation workflows, alert investigation, case quality, digital forensics and incident response, threat hunting, cloud security, detection engineering, log analysis, malware analysis, or security automation.
• Comprehensive understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and containerized or GPU-based AI/ML workloads.
• Proven experience in owning operational metrics and achieving measurable enhancements.
• Background in developing or refining incident response procedures, playbooks, and critical issue workflows.
• Demonstrated capability to lead global, 24/7 teams across varied shift structures employing agile methodologies, backlog prioritization, and sprint metrics.
• Skill in clearly articulating complex security concepts to engineers, executives, and legal and compliance stakeholders.
• Familiarity with deploying security automation, orchestration, analytics, and AI-driven SOC workflows.
• Experience in creating detection and response playbooks specifically for AI/ML systems.
• Background with product or supply-chain security teams.
• Experience in integrating or migrating SIEM/EDR across hybrid multi-cloud environments, including CSP log sources, MDR partners, and co-managed detection and response frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCFR, CISSP, or AWS/Azure Security are beneficial.
