This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Comprehend customer requirements and deliver sales and service related to credit and lending for BMO clients or potential clients.
• Counsel customers on borrowing strategies and products that align with their goals.
• Execute sales and service tasks in accordance with established procedures.
• Recognize and refer clients to other business units as necessary.
• Utilize various channels to provide the desired customer experience and meet business targets.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and offer tailored personal banking and borrowing strategy guidance.
• Oversee transactional results of customer interactions or refer to the appropriate internal teams.
• Elevate complex or unresolved customer issues to management.
• Complete necessary documentation for the accurate processing of customer requests.
• Stay informed about personal banking and lending products, practices, and market trends.
• Investigate and research lending applications following the set procedures.
• Manage customer interactions with professionalism and efficiency.
• Incorporate marketing promotions and initiatives into customer discussions where applicable.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer and Bank information.
• Detect and report any suspected money laundering activities.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance standards, including AML, terrorist financing, FCAC consumer provisions, and Privacy Act stipulations.
• Make credit decisions or recommendations based on sound credit-granting principles and Bank policies.
• Utilize authorized credit qualifications to meet customer requests.
• Perform standardized tasks under supervision.
• Conduct initial problem-solving within established guidelines and escalate issues when necessary.
• Apply BMO's Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions that align with business strategy, policies, laws, and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of personal lending and home financing products.
• Awareness of competitive market dynamics and product offering trends.
• Familiarity with contact center operational processes and policies.
• Knowledge of call center technology, processes, and metrics.
• Basic knowledge gained through on-the-job experience.
• Fundamental verbal and written communication skills in a business context.
• Basic organizational skills within a business environment.
• Basic teamwork and collaboration abilities in a business setting.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Capability to support clients and team members within and/or outside the province of Quebec.
