This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess and analyze system design documents, engineering configurations, and solution architectures created by CDM integrators.
• Offer technical evaluations and cybersecurity suggestions based on requirements, emerging technologies, future demands, and industry developments.
• Review and contribute to system requirements in relation to cybersecurity posture.
• Consolidate industry best practices and lessons learned for future design implementations.
• Utilize IT Service Management expertise in cybersecurity projects related to system design, development, and ongoing operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Senior Security Architect to ensure systems align with the enterprise architecture strategy and technical reference model.
• Assess infrastructure for security, availability, reliability, and performance, and propose enhancements.
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and integration of cybersecurity data collection services and tools.
• Evaluate operational and maintenance activities along with system performance metrics.
• Work closely with customer representatives, government stakeholders, external parties, and cross-functional teams.
• Independently manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
• Analyze and enhance operating systems, hardware, software, and firmware solutions while advising on future acquisitions.
• Investigate technical issues across network, system, and application levels, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Review cybersecurity data flows, interfaces, data models, integration strategies, data quality, and normalization across CDM tools and enterprise data platforms.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, presentations, technical standards, and operational processes.
• Evaluate security posture through vulnerability and compliance assessments and suggest necessary remediations.
• Support operations in various geographic locations.
• Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge sharing across teams.
• Review documentation and diagrams produced by the team.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess a Secret Clearance.
• A Master’s degree with over 15 years of relevant professional experience OR a PhD with over 13 years of relevant experience is required.
• At least 5 years of experience directly engaging with government clients is necessary.
• Knowledge of Azure and AWS services and components for building, managing, and maintaining cloud environments is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud terminology, architecture, and tools, including installation, provisioning, and monitoring is required.
• Experience in installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Linux Operating Systems is needed.
• Proven experience in deploying, configuring, and deriving security insights from Qualys, Wraithwatch, and Databricks in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
• Proficiency in utilizing Databricks Delta Lake pipelines (Bronze, Silver, Gold tables) for cleaning and structuring CDM data.
• Understanding of AI/ML models in Databricks for identifying security vulnerabilities and automating threat detection.
• Experience in analyzing Qualys data fields, metadata, and scan values to map security telemetry into CDM data models.
• Ability to identify gaps in Qualys data outputs and enhance asset reporting.
• Experience in managing enterprise networks is required.
• Must hold a current DoD 8570/8140-recognized certification relevant to the assigned DCWF work role and proficiency level.
• Personnel supporting DHS must secure an Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• Preferred: familiarity with cybersecurity programs or federal IT settings.
• Preferred: experience with Tenable, Regscale, Tines, and Axonius.
• Preferred: skills in Python and PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Preferred: experience in PowerBI reporting and dashboard creation.
• Preferred: knowledge of Splunk SIEM.
• Preferred: SQL skills and experience querying cybersecurity data across various database platforms.
• Preferred: expertise in data modeling and mapping system data flows for cybersecurity analysis.
