This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.
• Monitor and assess security alerts, logs, and events across endpoints, cloud services, networks, applications, and enterprise platforms.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, evidence examination, remediation tracking, and lessons learned after incidents.
• Create and update security procedures, processes, standards, assessment results, incident response actions, and documentation for control implementations.
• Manage and support the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Ensure that policies, controls, procedures, and documentation comply with industry standards and best practices.
• Aid in maintaining compliance with CIS, PCI, ISO, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
• Engage in internal and external security audits, assessments, control reviews, and evaluations of maturity.
• Monitor and track remediation efforts.
• Provide guidance to country offices, business units, IT teams, and stakeholders on security best practices, risk mitigation, secure technology usage, and organizational policies.
• Detect security vulnerabilities, evaluate risks, and assist in the implementation of security controls.
• Report on cybersecurity maturity, risk posture, control implementation, and alignment with frameworks.
• Keep up with current cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, attacker tactics, technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Organize security awareness training programs, campaigns, and communications.
• Develop awareness materials such as presentations, guidance documents, newsletters, videos, online learning content, and staff communications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure secure information systems.
• Assess and implement security tools, technologies, controls, and mitigations.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity technologies.
• Familiarity with PCI, CCPA, GDPR, and other regulatory and compliance obligations.
• Experience in configuring, deploying, and utilizing SIEM, SOAR, playbooks, and EDR tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud services, third-party risk management, and application security.
• Advanced understanding and proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and project management capabilities, including the development of detailed project plans.
• Additional security certifications are preferred.
• Must be currently located and authorized to work in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Suriname, or Guyana.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the job's location.
