This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software upgrades while minimizing business disruptions.

• Offer technical direction and leadership to the development team throughout coding, testing, and deployment phases.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of upgrades.

• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders regarding upgrade projects, providing updates and managing expectations.

• Assess upgrade impacts by analyzing release notes and code modifications.

• Troubleshoot custom and base code, offering workarounds or solutions to implementation teams and clients.

• Utilize Duck Creek upgrade tools to perform differential analyses and find low-impact upgrade pathways.

• Identify opportunities for automation and create utilities to expedite and enhance the upgrade process.

• Independently manage tasks across multiple complex projects.

• Address customer issues and propose effective solutions.

• Review, mentor, and disseminate knowledge among team members.

• Recognize and communicate risks while formulating mitigation strategies.

• Work collaboratively with customers on active delivery remediation efforts prior to upgrades.

• Formulate and implement deployment strategies that reduce downtime and facilitate smooth transitions to production.

• Provide support and troubleshooting post-deployment.

• Evaluate deployment results and apply process improvements and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience in network administration, programming, or information systems.

• At least 6 years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience in roles that involve direct customer interaction.

• Proven experience in managing teams and evaluating direct-report performance.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Duck Creek product suite and its technical components.

• Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on managing employee performance.

• Extensive professional expertise in C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, and Windows Server 2003/2008 administration and configuration, as well as JavaScript, XSLT, XML, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.

• Significant professional experience with .NET solutions, SQL, and relational database design.

• Familiarity with XML and XSL.

• Experience using generative AI and AI-powered development tools, including GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot.

• Capability to evaluate, implement, and oversee AI-driven automation while ensuring security, quality, and compliance standards are met.

• Experience or knowledge of P&C insurance software applications.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle for P&C insurance software.

• Background in systems integration across policy, billing, claims, reinsurance, and third-party systems.

• Experience implementing Duck Creek Example Platform solutions for Policy Administration, Billing, and/or ASW Claims is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and foster positive relationships.

• Skill in analyzing complex situations and generating innovative solutions.

• Willingness to take responsibility and achieve significant results.

• Adaptability to change, quick learning, and openness to new technologies.

• Willingness to travel 0–25% of the time.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located.
