Senior Manager, CS Upgrade Technical Delivery Lead

📋 Description

• Lead the project engineering team in defining and reviewing technical requirements for Duck Creek applications.

• Supervise the planning, execution, and delivery of software upgrades while minimizing business disruptions.

• Offer technical direction on coding, testing, deployment, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of upgrades.

• Serve as the primary technical contact and stakeholder liaison for upgrade projects.

• Evaluate release notes and code modifications to determine their impact on existing applications.

• Troubleshoot custom and base code, providing workarounds or solutions to implementation teams and clients.

• Utilize Duck Creek upgrade tools to create differential analyses and low-impact upgrade paths.

• Identify automation opportunities and create utilities to enhance upgrade efficiency.

• Engage with customers to triage issues and offer solutions.

• Mentor, review, and share knowledge with team members.

• Recognize upgrade risks, communicate issues, and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Oversee active delivery remediation tasks prior to upgrades.

• Design and implement deployment plans that reduce downtime and facilitate smooth transitions into production.

• Deliver post-deployment support and troubleshooting assistance.

• Assess deployment results and initiate process enhancements.

• Manage team performance while fostering development across products and customization best practices.

• Work autonomously and potentially manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience in network administration, programming, or information systems.

• At least 6 years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience in roles requiring customer interaction.

• Proven experience in managing teams and overseeing the performance of direct reports.

• Profound understanding of the Duck Creek product suite and its technical components.

• Demonstrated experience leading a team and managing employee performance effectively.

• Extensive professional experience with C#, SQL, Visual Studio, Microsoft Foundation technologies, Windows Server 2003/2008 administration and configuration, JavaScript, XSLT, XML, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.

• Significant professional experience with .NET solutions, SQL, and relational database design.

• Familiarity with XML and XSL.

• Experience utilizing Generative AI and AI-driven development tools.

• Capability to evaluate, implement, and supervise AI-driven automation solutions while ensuring security, quality, and compliance.

• Experience or knowledge of P&C insurance software applications.

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle specific to P&C insurance software.

• Experience with systems integration, including Policy, Billing, Claims, Reinsurance, and third-party systems.

• Preferred experience with Duck Creek Example Platform solutions for Policy Administration, Billing, and/or ASW Claims.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in teams and cultivate positive relationships.

• Capacity to analyze complex situations and devise creative solutions.

• Willingness to accept responsibility and achieve significant outcomes.

• Flexibility to adapt to change, embrace new technologies, and learn rapidly.

• Willingness to travel 0–25%.
