
Senior Manager, Construction Workforce Development – Training

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and execute development programs for construction workforce training, upskilling, and career advancement.
• Collaborate with contractors, training organizations, and industry partners to assess workforce requirements and create effective training initiatives.
• Leverage construction field experience to ensure that programs accurately represent industry conditions and demands.
• Work in conjunction with NCCER’s accredited network to gain insights into market training and workforce development requirements.
• Contribute to the organization’s growth, sales, and marketing approaches related to workforce development.
• Partner with Pearson’s sales and marketing teams to align with growth strategies and address customer needs.
• Foster relationships with contractors, industry associations, government entities, educational institutions, and other NCCER stakeholders.
• Advocate for industry credentials, structured training, and continuous learning for construction craft professionals.
• Analyze workforce and industry data to pinpoint trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Keep track of industry and competitor activities, providing pertinent reports and recommendations.
• Assist NCCER committees, accreditation efforts, and workforce development initiatives as required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction, construction training, workforce development, or a related discipline.
• Practical leadership experience in the construction field as a foreman, superintendent, or a comparable position.
• Demonstrated success in creating or executing construction training programs that foster workforce development and career progression.
• In-depth knowledge of construction workforce needs, craft training, skills enhancement, and career advancement.
• Experience with upskilling, apprenticeship, assessment, or career pathway initiatives.
• Proven ability to collaborate with contractors and establish partnerships across industry, education, and workforce organizations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational abilities.
• Capable of working independently, managing various priorities, and collaborating effectively with staff, leadership, and external partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
• Familiarity with learning management, assessment, testing, or similar workforce development platforms is preferred.
