Senior Manager, Commercial Banking Syndications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of syndicated loan agreements.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to uncover potential opportunities.

• Develop and implement business development strategies aimed at enhancing the commercial lending presence.

• Represent Beem at industry conferences and networking engagements.

• Maintain and expand networks with financial institutions, investors, and syndication partners.

• Provide strategic oversight for a complex portfolio of syndicated loans.

• Coordinate transaction execution alongside legal teams, credit officers, and relationship managers.

• Ensure adherence to documentation and regulatory requirements.

• Build and nurture relationships with borrowers, syndicate participants, and industry stakeholders.

• Offer customized financial solutions while upholding high service standards.

• Lead credit analysis and conduct risk assessments.

• Prepare and present credit proposals that include financial modeling and risk mitigation strategies.

• Monitor portfolio risk exposure and apply proactive risk management strategies.

• Set the strategic direction for the Syndications team.

• Build and guide a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and development initiatives.

• Foster collaboration and cross-referrals among commercial teams.

• Establish goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• A post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial banking with a specialization in syndicated lending.

• Proven ability to structure, negotiate, and execute syndicated loan agreements.

• Strong expertise in credit analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio management.

• Demonstrated capability to build strategic relationships and drive business development efforts.
