This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +3 more states.
β’ Drive volume and financial performance through a network of wholesale and retail convenience customers within a designated area.
β’ Implement channel-specific DSMPs and strategies with assigned clients.
β’ Build personal relationships with customers by effectively managing assigned broker sales representatives.
β’ Oversee overall account and regional financial operations, including trade promotions, deductions, rack and slotting, and SG&A.
β’ Utilize IRI data, sales reports, and budget summaries to assess sales trends, risks, and opportunities.
β’ Manage PVM DSMP strategies across the designated national customer base.
β’ Analyze syndicated and consumption data to achieve overall objectives.
β’ Apply Shopper Insights and Category Management principles to convert customer insights into successful solutions and execution of customer plans.
β’ Engage with internal sales and operations staff, external retail customers up to senior management, and broker partners.
β’ Create account-level plans throughout the year while identifying monthly opportunities and risks.
β’ Follow up on opportunities with internal sales and marketing teams to profitably present ideas to customers.
β’ Continuously address risks and opportunities for the designated customer base.
β’ BA/BS in Business or a related field is mandatory.
β’ At least 3+ years of experience in the CPG industry, focusing on developing retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
β’ A minimum of 2+ years of experience in managing brokers.
β’ Proficient in computer skills, particularly with MS Office Applications (e.g., Word, Outlook, PPT, etc.).
β’ Proven negotiation and selling abilities with a successful sales history.
β’ Prior experience with data-driven software (IRI or Nielsen) and the ability to leverage syndicated and consumption data is essential.
β’ Capability to formulate strategic key account business plans and apply the necessary leadership for efficient and effective execution while monitoring and measuring all plan aspects.
β’ Strong financial analysis skills and business acumen are required.
β’ Knowledge of category management.
β’ Innovative and creative approach to plans, solutions, opportunities, and ideas.
β’ Strong project management capabilities.
β’ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to convey information in an informative, persuasive, and directive manner.
β’ Willingness to travel as needed β averaging 2-3 days per week (up to 60%).
β’ Must reside in the Great Plains geographic area, which includes key states such as Iowa, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, or a similar region.
