Senior Manager, Clinical Trials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute clinical trial operations in accordance with study protocols

• Collaborate with personnel from investigative sites, CROs, and study vendors

• Supervise and mentor clinical research team members

• Oversee study contracting, budget management, and vendor payment processes

• Establish departmental procedures and infrastructure in partnership with the department head

• Create study documentation, including protocols, informed consent forms, CRFs, and regulatory binders

• Educate CROs, vendors, investigators, and study coordinators on study protocols and associated requirements

• Monitor and assess the progress of clinical trials and provide updates to stakeholders

• Collaborate with research and development teams to meet project deliverables

• Manage PHI in both paper and electronic formats utilizing appropriate technologies

• Complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, compliance, and security training within the first 30 days

• Adhere to current Natera training requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, a related field, or equivalent experience required

• 5–10 years of experience in clinical research, including 3–5 years in a managerial role overseeing clinical trials

• At least 2 years of experience in staff management

• Proven ability to independently manage study design, protocol execution, site monitoring, sample management, and recruitment site oversight

• Understanding of clinical research regulations

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Capable of collaborating effectively with study teams, cross-functional teams, and external partners

• Excellent organizational and planning abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional leadership qualities; self-driven and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Advanced degree is preferred

• Experience in managing CROs is preferred
