Senior Manager, Clinical Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Associate/Director and Senior/Executive Director of Clinical Operations along with the Clinical Operations teams to ensure the quality and timely delivery of clinical operations deliverables.

• Take an active and proactive role in leading projects and engaging with clients.

• Develop and sustain strong client relationships and foster mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.

• Engage in and contribute to activities and functions of the Everest management team.

• Plan, recruit, train, and mentor personnel in Clinical Operations.

• Conduct staff performance management and career development planning.

• Undertake strategic planning and implement initiatives for the ongoing development and enhancement of Everest's overall performance.

• Assist in establishing annual departmental goals/objectives and support or contribute to their accomplishment.

• Help maintain a positive, professional, high-performing, and productive work environment.

• Oversee and ensure compliance with corporate governing documents, policies, SOPs, and Work Instructions.

• Cultivate client relationships and enhance the Everest brand.

• Conduct business analysis and benchmarking in Clinical Operations to identify areas for continuous improvement.

• Provide resources, oversight, study assignments, training, and metrics reviews for CRA(s), as applicable.

• Perform oversight and accompanied site visits to evaluate CRA performance and provide necessary mentoring/training.

• Offer Clinical Operations oversight on specific projects as required.

• Assist in the development of client-signed Work Orders and Change Orders as needed.

• Conduct resource planning for designated business areas as necessary.

• Author and review governing documents related to Clinical Operations as required.

• Prepare for and take part in internal and external quality assurance audits.

• Support the creation of study proposal materials and participate in bid defense meetings as needed.

• Organize and execute professional development plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in science, health studies, research fields, or a comparable area.

• At least 9 years of experience in clinical research.

• Experience as a CRA and Clinical Lead (e.g., CTM).

• Management experience in Clinical Operations, preferably within a CRO setting.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team toward optimal performance and contributions.

• Outstanding people management skills.

• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization and with client contacts.

• Exceptional written communication and presentation abilities.

• May require 10% to 35% of business travel.
