This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.
• Oversee and provide timely and precise accounting advisory services.
• Advise on technical accounting issues and the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Conduct account reconciliations and prepare financial statements.
• Offer on-demand accounting assistance.
• Supervise junior professionals and carry out engagement activities.
• Engage in discussions with CFOs, Controllers, and Business Owners.
• Assist in drafting deliverables.
• Take part in planning, fieldwork, engagement wrap-up, and the composition of deliverables.
• Comprehend client business needs and foster productive relationships with key personnel.
• Evaluate information flows among people, processes, and technology.
• Eliminate manual operations, data validation challenges, decentralization, Excel analyses, and other bottlenecks.
• Utilize automation and digital processes to enhance client performance.
• Provide guidance on the selection and implementation of accounting systems.
• Align essential processes and collaborate with technology partners.
• Mentor team members and promote growth within the Advisory practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a solid understanding of US GAAP is required.
• Over 7 years of experience in a public accounting firm or industry setting performing audit, accounting, or consulting services is required.
• Adequate experience with technical accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting processes and internal controls.
• Interest in and experience with technical accounting issues.
• Capability to navigate ambiguous and complex client assignments.
• Proven track record in scoping, presenting, and selling client engagements.
• CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
• Professional service network and sales interest are preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adjust style and messaging to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks while working independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional analytical and diagnostic abilities.
• Capability to work in a challenging, deadline-driven environment with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adaptability to rapidly changing environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to effectively lead a team and delegate work assignments.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
