Senior Manager, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring precision and full adherence to US GAAP.

• Lead and coordinate the consolidation of financial results across various entities.

• Generate clear, audit-ready consolidated financial statements.

• Develop and sustain revenue accounting processes for a SaaS and usage-based business model.

• Address revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.

• Assist in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of ERP and close-management tools.

• Design and enhance scalable accounting policies, controls, documentation, and processes.

• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, and the wider business on fundraising, board reporting, and ad hoc financial analyses.

• Act as a primary contact for external auditors.

• Aid in planning and executing the annual audit from start to finish, manage PBC lists, and resolve technical accounting challenges.

• Identify and eliminate repetitive, manual accounting tasks by leveraging AI tools.

• Work alongside the CFO and finance leadership on accounting initiatives and broader financial objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in SaaS or usage-based revenue businesses.

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP.

• Experience with the complexities of revenue recognition under ASC 606.

• Direct experience in multi-entity financial reporting and consolidation.

• Proven track record in evaluating and implementing ERP or accounting systems.

• Proficiency in using AI tools as part of regular accounting workflows.

• Experience in managing or significantly contributing to auditor relationships.

• Experience leading financial statement audits from planning through to completion.

• CPA certification is required.

• A background in public accounting is an advantage.

• Ability to operate effectively without a large team.

• Strong judgment coupled with attention to detail.

• Capacity to transition between hands-on execution and higher-level process design.
