Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer – Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute systems programming for IBM z/OS / MVS environments

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and provide support for software via SMP/E

• Manage and administer mainframe software applications

• Utilize JCL and ISPF/TSO in daily operations

• Work with VTAM and TCP/IP protocols

• Offer support for IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool

• Contribute to the design, architecture, and infrastructure of mainframe systems

• Leverage BMC AMI tools, including AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management

• Provide technical guidance and support for project/program management and stakeholder communication

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with IBM z/OS / MVS systems programming

• Proficiency in SMP/E for software installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support

• Experience in the installation and administration of mainframe software

• Familiarity with JCL and ISPF/TSO

• Knowledge of VTAM and TCP/IP

• Experience supporting IBM Connect, CA Session Manager, and CA Spool

• Understanding of mainframe systems infrastructure, architecture, and design principles

• Proficient with BMC AMI tools such as AMI OPS Automation, AMI OPS Monitors, or AMI Output Management

• Skills in technical leadership, project/program management, and stakeholder communication
