Senior Mainframe Automation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee client systems data management while ensuring daily solutions and security compliance.

• Supervise a queue of tasks and collaborate directly with technicians.

• Prioritize service tickets to provide efficient solutions to clients.

• Suggest modernization strategies and pinpoint new business opportunities.

• Foster relationships with various teams and stakeholders.

• Execute z/OS automation software conversion and transformation.

• Develop integrations between z/OS automation software and platforms or tools, including z/VM, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, MainView, ServiceNow, Remedy, and Netcool.

• Install, customize, and upgrade GDPS while integrating new systems into existing GDPS environments.

• Implement, test, and validate Hyperswap functionalities.

• Create and maintain disaster recovery and high availability processes.

• Prepare and validate software and hardware upgrades for mainframes, z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2, and MQ.

• Develop and sustain automated solutions utilizing change and incident management tools.

• Apply AI solutions in practical scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of automation tools such as Broadcom OPS MVS, MainView Auto Operator, IBM AF OPER, and System Automation.

• Profound understanding of REXX programming.

• Experience in z/OS automation software conversion and transformation.

• Capability to integrate z/OS automation software with platforms including z/VM, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, MainView, ServiceNow, Remedy, and Netcool.

• Proven experience in installing, customizing, and upgrading GDPS.

• Skill in integrating new systems into existing GDPS environments.

• Competence in implementing, testing, and validating Hyperswap.

• Knowledge of disaster recovery and high availability processes.

• Experience in preparing and validating upgrades for mainframes, z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2, and MQ.

• Familiarity with change and incident management tools.

• Knowledge of AI and hands-on implementation experience.

• Proficiency in English and/or Spanish.
