Senior Mainframe Automation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Oversee systems data management for clients, ensuring daily solutions and adherence to security compliance.

• Manage a queue of tasks and collaborate directly with technicians.

• Prioritize support tickets to provide effective solutions for clients.

• Suggest options for modernization.

• Identify potential new business opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.

• Conduct conversions and transformations of z/OS automation software.

• Create integrations between z/OS automation software and various platforms or tools including z/VM, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, MainView, ServiceNow, Remedy, and Netcool.

• Install, tailor, and upgrade GDPS.

• Seamlessly integrate new systems into current GDPS environments.

• Implement, test, and validate the Hyperswap feature.

• Develop processes for disaster recovery and high availability.

• Prepare and validate upgrades for software and hardware related to mainframes, z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2, and MQ.

• Design and maintain automated solutions utilizing change and incident management tools.

• Leverage AI knowledge through practical applications.

• Collaborate with diverse teams to enhance customer success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in automation tools such as Broadcom OPS MVS, Mainview Auto Operator, IBM AF OPER, and System Automation.

• Strong knowledge of REXX programming.

• Experience in the conversion and transformation of z/OS automation software.

• Proven track record in integrating z/OS automation software with tools like z/VM, OMEGAMON, SYSVIEW, MainView, ServiceNow, Remedy, Netcool, among others.

• Experience in installing, customizing, and upgrading GDPS.

• Ability to seamlessly integrate new systems into existing GDPS environments.

• Capability to implement, test, and validate the Hyperswap feature.

• Familiarity with disaster recovery and high-availability processes.

• Proficient in preparing and validating upgrades for mainframe, z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2, and MQ software and hardware.

• Knowledge of change and incident management tools for developing and maintaining automated solutions.

• Experience in AI knowledge and practical application.

• Competency in conversing in English and/or Spanish.

• Preferred: Experience in Mainframe Modernization.

• Preferred: Experience in Mainframe Integration with Hyperscaler solutions.
