Senior Machine Learning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Create and develop machine learning models from the ground up utilizing Decision Trees, K-Means, Neural Networks, and Random Forests.

• Manually deploy machine learning models using Python while ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.

• Analyze IP addresses, geographical locations, and user behaviors to detect spam and identify trust/safety patterns.

• Conduct feature engineering and selection to develop high-performing machine learning models.

• Establish and maintain cloud infrastructure for model deployment without depending on managed services like Amazon SageMaker.

• Proactively innovate and test solutions while taking ownership of complex challenges.

• Collaborate with forward-thinking U.S.-based teams as part of Sonatafy Technology’s nearshore software development services.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistics, feature engineering, and optimization techniques.

• Practical experience in building and deploying machine learning models with Python.

• Background in trust and safety/spam detection, including data analysis for threat identification.

• Expertise in setting up and managing cloud infrastructure for model deployment.

• Ability to solve problems independently with a creative and experimental approach.

• Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP).

• Knowledge of LLM tooling, encompassing prompt engineering, embeddings, and vector databases.

• Proficient in Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.

• Skilled with Pandas, NumPy, NLTK, and spaCy.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with Django or Flask for developing production APIs for machine learning models.
